11 months!

11 months old already!  The time is sure flying by.  I'm 14 pounds 3 oz (not on the curve yet) and 27.5 inches long (25%).  I did go see a US doctor for my 11 month check-up, and he said I was just fine.  I'm on track with everything you can possibly think of, I'm just underweight.  So the doctor was reassuring us that there's nothing wrong with me, I'm just a skinny little thing!

With all the traveling I've been doing, I've had lots of new places to explore, which I love doing.  Crawling is still my preferred means of getting around, but I like to pull myself up on everything and walk around a bit too.  My new favorite thing to do it to crawl into tiny little spaces...but I can't always get myself out of them, so my parents have to help me out.

I've sure enjoyed meeting all kinds of new people and getting reacquainted with all my relatives that live here in the US.

Ella is still one of my favorite people.  I like to follow her around and watch what she does.

I've logged a lot of hours in this car seat thing.  I'll be glad to be back in Bolivia where I won't have to use it anymore!

Merry Christmas!

Mani/Pedi with Grammy

One of the days we were in Phoenix, I got to have a special time with Grammy.  She took me to get my very first Mani/Pedi!  I had a great time and have been showing everyone my fingernails and toenails.

Aaaahhhh....feels good.

Trying not to laugh....it tickled a little.

Drying and relaxing.

Thanks Grammy for the special treat!

Fun times in Phoenix

I had a great time in Phoenix visiting my Grammy and Papa Warden.  We did lots of stuff and I have lots of pictures to show you.

First we went to the Wildlife Zoo.  It was really cool.  We were able to get really close to the animals and I even touched some of them!  Here are some of my pictures.

I got to touch a sting ray.

The fish were so pretty.

I got to feed a Giraffe!

The giraffe were my favorite.

But ridding the carousel with Grammy was right up there too!
It was really fun that we got to celebrate Thanksgiving in Phoenix with Grammy and Papa.  We all helped to decorate the table by coloring our own turkeys!

For our christmas present, Grammy and Papa took us all to the Grand Canyon!  It was the first time for me, Lydia, and my Mommy to see it.

First views of the Canyon

Wow!  It was amazing!
Another cool thing we did was visit the Phoenix Children's Museum.  I had a GREAT time.

I climbed all over this big tree house.  Can you find me in this picture?

Checking out at the grocery store.

My Daddy had fun too!

Mommy helped me do a craft.

Phoenix was fun!  Can't wait to come back.

10 months!

Well, I turned 10 months while here in the US.  I was able to see a doctor here.  She said I was pretty small, and we did some tests to just rule anything major out.  I passed all the tests with flying colors!  So I'm back to just eating, eating, eating.  I'm eating a lot of yogurt and all the baby food with the most calories in it.  I'm up to ALMOST 14 pounds, weighing in at 13 pounds 12 oz.  (way off the growth curve).  But I'm doing great in every other area.  This month I started doing all kinds of new things.  I can crawl super fast now, I'm pulling up on my knees on everything, and sometimes pull up on my feet.  Tooth number 3 and 4 just broke ground, I clap, wave and started to say "bye", "ball", and "Mama".  I've also realize how much I love to swing!  I'm growing up really fast...and I'm sure I will enjoy my super fast metabolism some day!

Movin' and Grovin' at my Cousin's ice skating party

Loved playing with the dogs at the Volkman's house (our host family for 3 weeks).  They liked playing with me best when there was a glass door between us!

Swinging is awesome!

Catch Up!

Ever since getting to the US we have been on the go.  A lot has happened, too much to put into one blog.  So we are going to tell you about it by showing you our pictures.  We are having a great time!

5 Car Seats, 5 kids, 2 moms, 1 car!
We don't see many of these in Bolivia!

1st swing for Lydia!

She was a fan!

Lydia (9 months) and Ansleigh (6 months)

My first ladybug.  We don't have these in Bolivia either!

Hanging out with our buddy Asa.

"Ok...is this guy really safe?"

"He's good to go.  Take the pic Mom!"

Could I have any more fun with Bill?  He is the best!

Lydia's first picture in the fall leaves.

"I wonder what they taste like?"

I got to ride Emma and Olivia's horse Dream.  Isn't that cool?

Cousin Grant (8 months) and Lydia (9 months)

Cousins!  Emma, Olivia, and Me

Leaving on a Jet Plane!

After a long wait in the airport, we finally got on our plane to go back to the US.  Lucky for us there weren't too many people on the plane, so we were able to use some extra seats to spread out.   My Mom made a bed for me on some seats and I took a really long nap!

While I was sleeping Lydia was busy playing.

When I woke up, I watched a few movies...

And while I watched my movies, Lydia took a nap.

I thought it would be best for Lydia and I not to take our naps at the same time.  That way our parents would have something to do.  We would't want them to get bored!

Last day of school!

Friday was my last day of school!  I know that sounds weird if you are reading this from the US.  But here in Bolivia, the school years starts in Feburary and ends in November.  We left for our furlough trip to the US yesterday.  Since we won't be coming back to Bolivia until Janurary, I will miss the rest of the school year here.  So Friday was my last day of school.  Next year, I will start my 3rd and final year at the Barquito de Papel.

This is my school

9 months!

I'm 9 months old now!  I still fit in the little kitchen sink...but just barely.  Bath time is one of my favorite moments of the day.  I'm up to 13.6 pounds (still too low to be on the chart) and am 26 inches long (5th %).

I'm starting to be a much better eater.  I even let my big sister Ella feed me sometimes.  My favorites food are still papaya and avocado.  But I also really like zapallo...which is the bolivian version of squash.

I am still on the go all the time.  I love to crawl all over the house.  My legs are always moving really fast, but I don't always get anywhere really quickly since all our floor are wood and slippery.  Much to my parents delight, I love playing with my big sister.  We actually get along really well and can entertain ourselves for a long time.  My parents are hoping that we will entertain ourselves on our 16 hour travel day when we head back to the States for furlough!
