First day of School!

Here in Bolivia, we start school in February and yesterday was my first day back!  In my school there are three classes.  The little class (3 yr olds), and middle class (4 yr olds) and the big class (5 yr olds).  I'm all done with the little class and now I'm in the middle class.  So I'm still in the same school and have the same kids in my class.  I'm just in a new room with a new teacher.  I was really excited to go back to school.  It was a little sad to see my parents go, but I was happy when my Daddy came to pick me up and I was excited to go to school again this morning.  I'm much more interested in playing with the other Bolivian kids in my class this year instead of just wanting to be with my teachers.  I'm looking forward to brushing up on my Spanish, and all the other new things that I will learn this year.

Ready for school!

So excited my parents found me a Sleeping Beauty backpack.  It's exactly what I wanted!
So happy to be back and in my favorite swing!
Can you find me watching our welcome program?  My friend Noelia started to go to my school this year too.  She is sitting next to me.  She's not in my class, but I'm sure I'll still get to play with her sometimes.

3 weeks!

Well, I'm three weeks old now!  I'm getting a hang of life outside the womb now so I've got more time to blog.  Thought for my first blog I would post some old school pictures from when I was just 2 weeks old.  Hope you enjoy them!
I'm starting to spend more time with my eyes open now.

I'm starting to be more interested in eating...but sleeping is still my favorite thing to do.
I got a new swing!  It's even Fisher Price, my Mom seemed to think it was a big deal to find it here in Bolivia.

I'm always pretty excited to hang out in it.  It has music that I enjoy, and it's especially fun when I can gaze at the light coming from the window.

I've also decided to take up whistling.  I can't make any sounds yet, but I'm working hard on my form.

She's Here!!!!

My new sister is here.  Her name is Lydia BelĂ©n (bay-lynn) but we like to call her Lydie for short.  She came two weeks early, and I am glad that she did because I have been waiting for her to come out of my Mommy's tummy for a LONG time.  Now that she is here, I'm going to let her share my blog with me.  So be on the look out for a blog from her sometime.

Anyways, here are some pictures of our first week together.

Meeting Lydia for the first time.

First family photo with all 4 of us.
First kiss, so excited for her to come home from the hospital.

I love hangin' out with my new sister.
We like to have Jammie time together.

I've been reading Lydia all my books.  She is a pretty good listener!
Lydia also likes to play in my tent with me.
Love her!

Una Casita Nueva

I am so excited to tell you about an early Christmas present from my parents.  Another Bolivian family was selling this playhouse because their little girls were all grown up.  So my Mom and Dad bought it for me!  Below is a video of me finding it in my room and a few more pictures.  I've already had many fun afternoons playing in my new house and look forward to playing in it more for years to come!

End of School Program

It's hard to believe that I'm all done with school for the year.  In Bolivia we have our summer break from the end of November until February!  So now I get to be home ALL DAY with my Mom for a while.  But before my school was completely done, we had a big end of the year program that took place in a big theater in town.  The theater was real fancy, but old.  There were 7 different acts, all of which were different Disney stories.  I was in a Disney story that I wasn't familiar with, and neither were my parents.  (Maybe since it was all in Spanish?)  Anyway, it had solders and ballerinas in it, and I was a ballerina!  We practiced for several weeks before the big show.  On the day of the show I, along with all the other girls in the show, got to go to a beauty parlor and have our hair and make-up done.  It was SO fun.  My mom said I looked like something out of Moulin Rouge, but all the Bolivians thought we were beautiful!

Here are some pictures and videos from the event!

At first, getting my make-up felt weird.  I wasn't sure what to think!

Getting on my eye shadow kinda tickled!

Wow!  Mom said I already have on more make-up than I will ever need to wear again.

Time for hair!

There was a lot of hair teasing going on.

The tierra was the final touch.  (And my favorite part!)

Here I am in full costume, right before the show.

My favorite ballerina pose.

As you can see, the choreography wasn't too complicated for me to learn.

I tried to do a little improv dancing, but was quickly reprimanded by one of the other ballerinas!

Just after the show.  I couldn't stop "posing."

This is me with my teacher's assistant on the last day of school.

This is me with my teacher.  She is SO nice.

Catch up!

Wow!  It's been a busy summer.  So busy that I haven't had time to update my blog!  So, I'm putting together a bunch of pictures to show you what I've been up to.

Climbing Mountains with my Daddy

Hanging out with my friends

Working on developing my sense of fashion

Working hard....planting trees

Building a Sand Castle...actually I didn't help at all.  I just know when to pose for the camera!

I still get into trouble from time to time

But I'm really just expressing my creativity

Last week for school I had a winter fashion show! (Here in Bolivia it's winter right now, even though it's summer in the US!) It was really fun. We didn't have school in the morning, because there was so much for my teachers to do to get ready for the show. We rented out a ball room in Sucre and my teachers made a runway with tables. There was music and a lazar light machine too! All the parents came and sat around the run way. It was a little overwhelming for me but I did a good job. I just walked really fast!

Like many things in Bolivia it started a hour late...and then ended up going extra long. My parents left with me at 8:30 but we heard there were still people there until 10pm. Because it went to late, I didn't have school the next day either! The things we do for fashion!

Check out my runway debut!
