Dance, Dance, Dance!!!

Many of you know that I really like to dance.  I dance at my school, at home, and pretty much anytime and anywhere I hear music.  So you can imagine how excited I was when my parents told me
I was going to start taking ballet lessons!  I have lessons on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons.  They are going really well.  I'm learning a lot of things, but sometimes it's hard to listen to my teacher.  The room is filled with mirrors and I just love to look at myself dancing in my ballerina outfits.  Below are some pictures from my very first dance lesson.

Here I am stretching with my teacher.  There was only one other girl in my class on this day.  Her name is Nicole and we have lots of fun together.

After stretching, we did a little marching...

and then my favorite...prancing!  By this time I am usually leaving my teacher and the rest of my class in the dust.   Who knew I would be such a fast prancer?

Then we usually work at the bar.  I don't quite have these moves down yet.  To me, a bar is there for hanging...we will see how I progress in the next few weeks.

One Month Old!

Can you believe that I'm already 1 month old?!?  I had my 1 month check up yesterday and I did really great.  Everyone was concerned about how much I would weigh, since I was so small when I was born. Well, I must say that I amazed everyone when I weighed in at 7 lbs 5 oz.  While that only puts me in the 1st percentile I made up a lot of ground in the last few weeks.  I'm sure I'll catch up soon.  So I've obviously got the eating thing down, but I'm doing lots of other things too!

I've been hanging out with my big sister.  She is really nice to me and likes to put her face really close to mine...all the time.  I think we are going to be close friends.

Ella has been teaching me a lot of things.  The other day she introduced me to all her barbies.  Maybe one day she will let me play with them.  (If they survive that long!)

I'm still doing a lot of sleeping...looks like I may have inherited my fathers active sleeping patterns.  I think here I was dreaming of Michael Jackson's Thriller video.

First day of School!

Here in Bolivia, we start school in February and yesterday was my first day back!  In my school there are three classes.  The little class (3 yr olds), and middle class (4 yr olds) and the big class (5 yr olds).  I'm all done with the little class and now I'm in the middle class.  So I'm still in the same school and have the same kids in my class.  I'm just in a new room with a new teacher.  I was really excited to go back to school.  It was a little sad to see my parents go, but I was happy when my Daddy came to pick me up and I was excited to go to school again this morning.  I'm much more interested in playing with the other Bolivian kids in my class this year instead of just wanting to be with my teachers.  I'm looking forward to brushing up on my Spanish, and all the other new things that I will learn this year.

Ready for school!

So excited my parents found me a Sleeping Beauty backpack.  It's exactly what I wanted!
So happy to be back and in my favorite swing!
Can you find me watching our welcome program?  My friend Noelia started to go to my school this year too.  She is sitting next to me.  She's not in my class, but I'm sure I'll still get to play with her sometimes.

3 weeks!

Well, I'm three weeks old now!  I'm getting a hang of life outside the womb now so I've got more time to blog.  Thought for my first blog I would post some old school pictures from when I was just 2 weeks old.  Hope you enjoy them!
I'm starting to spend more time with my eyes open now.

I'm starting to be more interested in eating...but sleeping is still my favorite thing to do.
I got a new swing!  It's even Fisher Price, my Mom seemed to think it was a big deal to find it here in Bolivia.

I'm always pretty excited to hang out in it.  It has music that I enjoy, and it's especially fun when I can gaze at the light coming from the window.

I've also decided to take up whistling.  I can't make any sounds yet, but I'm working hard on my form.

She's Here!!!!

My new sister is here.  Her name is Lydia BelĂ©n (bay-lynn) but we like to call her Lydie for short.  She came two weeks early, and I am glad that she did because I have been waiting for her to come out of my Mommy's tummy for a LONG time.  Now that she is here, I'm going to let her share my blog with me.  So be on the look out for a blog from her sometime.

Anyways, here are some pictures of our first week together.

Meeting Lydia for the first time.

First family photo with all 4 of us.
First kiss, so excited for her to come home from the hospital.

I love hangin' out with my new sister.
We like to have Jammie time together.

I've been reading Lydia all my books.  She is a pretty good listener!
Lydia also likes to play in my tent with me.
Love her!

Una Casita Nueva

I am so excited to tell you about an early Christmas present from my parents.  Another Bolivian family was selling this playhouse because their little girls were all grown up.  So my Mom and Dad bought it for me!  Below is a video of me finding it in my room and a few more pictures.  I've already had many fun afternoons playing in my new house and look forward to playing in it more for years to come!
